New Morgans and More

Today I logged in for the first time in what feels like forever (but must not have been that long, because I only gained 400 SC in my absence).  I had checked the News  page and wanted to see the new Morgans.  I was not disappointed.  They're gorgeous! Here are some screenshots. While they are similar in appearance to the AQHs, they do not have the same animations for their movements. I absolutely love the one that almost looks like an Akhal-Teke, with very fair palomino-esque coloring.  I think I'm going to buy one and name her something with a Star in it. Also, make sure you check out the new quests from Tim, but look out for that race, as it sure is tricky! Thanks for reading and Happy Trails! ~*Veronika Starstorm*~

More New Paint Horses

This Wednesday update brings with it three new beautiful American Paint Horses, two of which are actually Appaloosas. If I had to pick one, it would be hard to choose between the black and dark brown Appaloosas. Good luck picking just one! Thanks for reading, and Happy Trails!

New American Paint Horses

With the Wednesday update, there are three new American Paint Horses for sale at Marley's farm, and cost 890 star coins each.  They are lined up at a new hitching post near the center. For some strange reason, the vendor from the booth at Marley's Farm has relocated and is now standing inside of one of the horses! This makes it pretty tricky to click the symbol over the horse to buy it! Here are the other screenshots I've gathered so far... Sorry I don't have time for a longer post, I'm off to the doctor's. Thanks for reading and Happy Trails!

Valentine's Day Update

This week we had an interesting update for Valentine's Day. With it came three new horses: A gray Morab a Morgan and a Selle Francais Have I ever told you I'm a sucker for gray horses?  I may even end up getting a gray horse in real life!  I still want the Oldenburg that costs a ridiculous amount for a standard model horse (890 I think) because I just love it's gray-almost-blue-roan coloring, but I can't justify paying that much for a horse with the old model.  I've gotten too attached to the nicer graphics the new models have. This new update gives us a bunch of new quests and dailies to work on through the weekend.  Catherine the baker over in Jarlaheim and Donald the tailor in Silverglade both need our help to prepare for Valentine's Day.  (I'd say they're a bit late on preparations, as it's tomorrow, but I'm always willing to help out someone for our mutual benefit.) These quests are a bit different from the norm.  Inste...

Wednesday Update - Dino Valley Announced

Did you hear [read] the news?! https://www.starstable.com/en/article/1061 The next area, a wintry zone called the Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur, has been announced, and with it the news that some horses are more hardy than others.  Currently the only horse that is winter-proof is the North Swedish Horse, of which two new models were released today.  Also according to the article, these are the last of the new horses that will be released until the newest new model - that is still a surprise - is released, in a few weeks.  Many people have been asking for the Fjord, and it would make sense that the breed would also be hardy enough to withstand colder temperatures, so you may not want to rush out and buy a North Swedish Horse just yet (unless of course you want to because they are pretty cute). Here are some screenies of the North Swedish Horses. In Valedale: At Goldenleaf Stable: One of the new North Swedish Horses is located at the Silverglade Vin...

Wednesday Beach Update - Swimming with your Horse and New Clothes

Today's update brought with it a new area - a beach where you can swim with your horse! (taken from the Star Stable website) There's a plank you can walk or run with your horse on, and on the other side there's a shark.  I've heard the shark can actually damage you, so be careful! The highest point of the plank lets you run, jump, and splash into the water below. Global chat extends to most areas of this new spot. There's a new clothing vendor and a cafe vendor, with lots of places for you to sit and sun yourself.  The sunning areas follow the model already in place like in cafe areas, where you can view yourself sitting from different angles, your character automatically faces you in order to take a good screenshot, and there is also the ability to sit on top of someone (accidentally or spitefully) with the "eject" button right below the various angle buttons. 'Twas a cute little update and makes me wonder if more horse-beaches are...

Facebook Comment for Positive Change

So after seeing another Wednesday update that doesn't really add much to the game, I decided to comment on Star Stable's Facebook page.   Here's the comment: " I've played Star Stable for a long time and paid for a lifetime membership. I've also bought Star Coins several times, so I don't even want to think about how much money I've 'invested' in this game. That said, I have several problems with the newest  content. The first and most important being that the "huge new release" with Lisa took me a day and a half to complete. A day and a half of new content after months of doing the same dailies every day, with nothing to look forward to. I "beat" the game a long time ago, as have several fellow players, and it's just not fair for you to tease us with a "big" update that only adds two days worth of content. The second issue I have is that you added the Tinker files to the game a long time ago, but haven't...

Just Another Wednesday Update

I logged in today, as I generally do every day, after checking the news section of Star Stable's website.  While I'm overall pleased with the fact that they keep small updates coming, this update was so small it was hardly large enough to be called an update!  One quest was added: a package got lost on the road between Wolf's Hall Inn and greater Jarlaheim, and you have to find it and return it to the owner.  The package is a pair of new glasses for the NPC who gives you the daily quests in Jarlaheim and whose name I cannot remember right now.  (It's okay, he always forgets my name, too, as he surely does yours, as well!)  The touted reward for said quest is his old pair of glasses, which have their own bit of charm as they're huge on any character's face and may have a slight bit of hipster appeal.  The rest of the update was an addition to Zed [the rocker]'s shop, with some tack and leg wraps with a black and periwinkle flame pattern.  I bought the l...

Anticlimactic End to Update

Well now... I'm sorry, but once again Star Stable has disappointed me.  It seems as though they are spending more time designing the Tinkers than they spent on this update!  I'm already done with the new content, according to a notification message I received after finishing a quest to speak to the rest of the Star Riders in the Druid Circle. I'm almost halfway through level 15 now and as far as I know I am totally done.  I'm still curious about the It's disappointing that they hyped this up so much when it was less than two days' worth of activity. I hope you all have a fun time experiencing the new content, even if it's not much. Thanks for reading and happy trails.

Easter - Golden Eggs in Moorland, Valedale, Silverglade, Firgrove, Etc

So far I have found one golden egg by Mario at North Link.  It is behind him at the Observatory.  As soon as you take the gondola up you will see the message that you are close and hear the * CLUCK * sound that you hear when you get close to a golden egg. The second golden egg I've found so far here was at Valedale Lake.  I was on a "wild goose chase" trying to find the final egg for Avalon (hint: Avalon, the druid near a house in Valedale, gives the egg hunt quest here, and he's not visible until you cross the bridge) when I got the message that I was close to a golden egg and decided to investigate. At Silverglade Equestrian Center, the guy with the comparison machine,. Carney(?), is the one who offers the egg hunt quest.  The hardest one to find was the one behind the stable near the trailer.  There's another one in a grape mush basket that's the farthest away, by a vendor. In Valedale, Avalon's egg hunt had me looking all over.  Most are ...

Easter - Golden Eggs in Jarlaheim - Harvest Counties

I believe I've found all the golden eggs in Jarlaheim.  Here are their locations, by screenshot and in order that I found them. 1) In Jarlaheim city - located in the second tier, behind the veterinarian and the dirty pets. 2) At Jorvik Stables, behind Herman's house 3) On Paddock Island, top level, behind the house 4) At Wolf's Hall Inn, right as you cross over the bridge, to the left side 5) By Unfortunate Dew's Farm (all the way up and around the path where no one goes) to the side of the stable And that, my fifth egg, contained this: Unfortunately I occasionally forget to hit Ctrl+A before Ctrl+V and end up having to crop out parts of my screenshots because MS Paint leaves behind the old image, creating a stacking photo montage that would be interesting if I weren't trying to do this! Anyways, that's all I've found so far in Jarlaheim and I believe that's all there is there. When I checked I did...
