She's Back...

Hey #StarFam, today's the day... somehow, magically, wondrously... I was able to get into Star Stable today! Previously I was stuck at 5% downloading, but it finally finished today and I was able to play the game! So now, here I am! Now that I can play, I got a chance to check out the super cute Lipizzans and the new dappled gray horses that were recently released. Now I'm having trouble choosing either the new, darker gray English Thoroughbred and the lighter gray Lippizan. After reading a lot of things about SSO online, I have decided that MAYBE there is something to the whole rumored horse speed thing. For the first time ever, I'm open to the idea that certain horses are innately faster than others. This has not been confirmed, and I don't think the debates will ever end, but for now let's just say that I'm open-minded. If the video I watched is correct, then the English Thoroughbred (frequently referred to as ETB) is faster than the Lipizzan. I

Gone but Not Forgotten

Howdy fellow Star Riders. Unfortunately, I have been unable to play for the past three months. The game has stopped working completely for me. When I attempt to run the .exe, if it opens and runs at all, it begins an update and gets stuck around 5%. Usually, the game just refuses to run at all. I've contacted customer support about this several times and they haven't helped me at all. :( It really bums me out that a game that I've invested so much time and money in is completely unresponsive about helping me and other fellow players who have Windows 10 (as that is the only conclusion we've drawn so far). I'm not even sure if it is because I run Windows 10, or if it's something unrelated, because there has been no troubleshooting done and I haven't been walked through anything. I hope y'all are enjoying the game. Have fun and take care. Happy trails.

Shires, Piggies, and Ponies!

Well, I finally did it. I bought a Shire! After much deliberation, I finally decided on the gray one, and named her Noblesoul. To come up with the name, I went through a ton of name-play, and finally decided to look up the meaning of the name Brienne – the extremely tall female guardian/knight from Game of Thrones – because she's awesome and also very tall. Her name means noble and possibly also strong, and I finally settled on this name. Here are some other names I came up with: Noblebelle Noblegaze Noblechampion Guardianknight and Silverwind Silverwind has additional special meaning to me, because the Dothraki name I chose for myself is Vizhadori, which approximates to 'silver gust of wind'. Here are some pics of Noblesoul. I wasn't very excited to spend all my remaining star coins on her, especially when I so badly want a Welsh Pony, but I decided the Shire has much more utility because it is as fast as any other horse an

Magical Jorvik Wild Horses - Get Them While You Can!!!

Sometimes I forget to check the news page on the Star Stable website at least once a week, so I'm super glad I remembered to this time. For this week only, there are three magical horses available outside Firgrove. They change colors to become totally unique once they are out in nature, away from towns and stables. Star Stable says they listened to us to come up with these designs. Also, the Jorvik Wild Horse is a completely new model that we haven't seen before. Here's the link to the news article on the Star Stable website:  https://www.starstable.com/en/article/2678 Here's a screenshot that will hopefully help you find where Gary Goldtooth and the horses are: Here are some pictures of the new horses: In the screenshots you can read the information about the breed, too. I chose the purple one and named it Stardust. This is what the purple one looks like before it transforms. Here's a great shot of the transformation as it happens.

New English Thoroughbred Horses

Star Stable just released three new horses in an all new model: the English Thoroughbred. Yes, there are already Thoroughbreds in the game, but these are definitely better! There are three colors so far, and each one costs 890 star coins. Chestnut: Gray (fleabitten?): Black: The black one is at Fort Pinta and the chestnut and gray are both available at Crescent Moon Village. I can't decide which one I want! I'm a little bit disappointed in the gray option.  It's cool that they finally have an option that has that fleabitten look, but I don't really like it.  The black and chestnut are both really nice, though.  The chestnut is almost orange in some spots, it's so bright! It will be a few weeks before I have enough star coins saved up to be able to buy any of them, and maybe there will be even more choices when that time comes. Which one do you love the most?

New Icelandic Horses and More

I had been waiting for yesterday for a long time.  I knew they were going to release additional colors of the Icelandic horse, I just didn't know which ones!  I wanted to wait until they had released them before purchasing one, because I didn't want to regret my decision. Here are the new colors: I didn't know what color to call the top one, but it was my favorite of the three.  I think it's a light copper color.  The other two colors are white and pinto. Now that they've been released, I knew it was time to pick my own! Introducing... Sparkfly! I love the Icelandic horses, especially mine.  I was playing around with names, trying to find one I liked for him, and I stumbled upon Sparkfly.  (Like "sparks fly when"...)  I had intended to go with something with 'copper' in the name, but decided I liked the way this sounds and looks much more. I hope you all are having a great week. Thanks for reading a
