Star Stable Online Etc

Guess what, guys?  Today is the day!  I bought a Fjord! For those keeping track, today marks 2 weeks since I opened up Dino Valley (The Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur).  In that time, I've come to know the Kallters, and, even though I missed a few days of dailies, was able to complete my reputation with them today.  Purchasing a Fjord horse requires the second level of reputation, Popular. Introducing Frostwarrior!  Here are some pictures of his cutie patootie: Every Fjord comes with its own set of tack, and once you've achieved the level of rep required to purchase one, you are able to purchase the set of gear that goes with it. The hairstyle shown here was purchased after buying Frostwarrior.  You can even give them long hairstyles!  I believe he cost 780 Star Coins and his hairstyle cost 19. Yesterday I got to meet Berzelius the Engineer and her pooch Swedenborg and might I say, Star Stable, I am impressed.  You managed to create a smart, attractive character with gray in her hair, a female engineer, someone who is at least partially complex, which is more than I can say for some of the other characters I've run into recently. She looks so fancy astride my sweetie, Snowangel This is her informing us that she's too overqualified for the menial junk Prof. Einstein insists of her I'm a fan of a page on Facebook called Mighty Girls, and it's all about empowering female youth to understand their potential and this character gives me hope.  Granted, this game is already rather female-centric, but many of the characters are lacking any sort of complexity.  Add to that the fact that during the first quest, the text initially led me to believe she was a male character - with a strange name, etc - that finding out she was a cutie was a pleasa

Last week, I spent star coins one night to make a day pass in-game so I could complete extra quests in a day, so it's probably technically a week and a day, but today I got my reputation with the Kallters up to Liked.  I was rather excited because according to the players who answered my question, it takes about a week to get your rep up high enough with them to buy the Fjords.  Well, that's just not true.  I've played every day for a week [and a day?] and have just now opened up their clothing and gear vendor, but no Fjords are to be seen or purchased yet. If anyone does know what reputation level you have to be with the Kallters to buy a Fjord, or how many days it took to get to that reputation level, I'd really appreciate it if you could share that information here.  I'm now guessing that you have to have your rep up to maximum level, but I have no confirmation of that. It took about 3 days of questing, doing all available quests, for the Kallters to show up in their special spot, as shown here. Note the map in the image for a more detailed view of where they are located, which is outside the giant door up the 'Hidden Road'. It will, unfortunately, take a long time to get my rep up enough with them to be able to buy a Fjord horse, but there are many days of dailies required by the other quest givers in the zone (Nic and Prof. Einstein) so hopefully the time won't feel terribly dreadful. If you have any calculations or notations regarding the rep grind, how long it takes, or have any tips for those of us who have not yet done it, please comment below. I've been very lax in catching up to everyone else as far as story quests and exploration goes, and now that they've released the new Fjord horses, I figured I'd log on and see how far I could get.  I had not yet done any of the quests to open the Valley, and quested until I couldn't anymore in a day. The quest chain begins with Elizabeth in Valedale, who asks you to check the pass and see if any of the snow has melted.  She has asked you to do this before, but this time - TA DA! - the snow has melted and there is a pass open to the Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur.  I'm sure many of you have already completed these quests, as you have probably been much more active in the game than I. Do take note, though, if you haven't done the quests yet, you will not be able to purchase a Fjord horse for awhile - several days, if not longer - due to the NPCs and reputation not being available until you complete certain quests. Did you hear [read] the news?! https://www.starstable.com/en/article/1061 The next area, a wintry zone called the Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur, has been announced, and with it the news that some horses are more hardy than others.  Currently the only horse that is winter-proof is the North Swedish Horse, of which two new models were released today.  Also according to the article, these are the last of the new horses that will be released until the newest new model - that is still a surprise - is released, in a few weeks.  Many people have been asking for the Fjord, and it would make sense that the breed would also be hardy enough to withstand colder temperatures, so you may not want to rush out and buy a North Swedish Horse just yet (unless of course you want to because they are pretty cute). This week's update brought with it a new Tinker horse, one that I find rather attractive. I almost bought it, but realized that there were no names with either "mocha", "coffee", or "java" in it, and decided I just couldn't work with the options available. Instead, I purchased Rosebelle , a black (with brown highlights) Tinker that was released a few weeks ago. I leveled her to 5 in less than an hour! All of the Tinker horses, except for the newest "mocha" one, can be found at Firgrove Village. The mocha one is at Ferdinand's Horse Market, which has made it full-circle and is now back in Jarlaheim. Today's clue is a little bit trickier than the other ones, but the answer is underneath the area where the hot air balloons are flying. Here's where I found my first one. And my second sparkly was the golden treasure. I'm sorry I haven't been updating with this every day, but my cat's sick and it's really rough. I got disconnected from the game - it crashed - twice so far and so I haven't been able to check out the new stuff with the update. Thanks for reading and happy trails.

Today's treasure hunt brings us to the castle in Silverglade.  Don't bother trying to enter it or look around on the platform it's built on.  Go directly below to the uneven ground with grass and there are many hidden sparkly areas.  I feel like today I searched through more of them than I have with the ones in the past. Here's where I found mine: It was below the castle, but up on a ledge, hidden to the side. It took longer than the other treasure hunts, but don't give up, it's there! Here is my guide to the first day of the treasure hunt, a daily quest offered by Felix in Silverglade Village, during the Midsummer Festival. The first day you have to write the clues for him.  This seems a bit self-defeating, as you go on to then search for the prizes, which you presumably already knew about due to writing the clues.  Anyway, you are given a hint that looks like this: Thankfully, the full hint is saved in your quest log if you forget it or didn't take a screenshot of it. Based on this clue, I looked along the Silversong River.  I ran North along the river, jumped across it at the spot by the little lake house, and noticed some sparklies. This was the first one I found.  It was not the location of the treasure, but there were five other spots nearby that also sparkled. For me, the sixth and final location was the correct one, but it does state that it may be different for each player.  Once you find it, you see a pile of what appears to

Today's update brought with it a new area - a beach where you can swim with your horse! (taken from the Star Stable website) There's a plank you can walk or run with your horse on, and on the other side there's a shark.  I've heard the shark can actually damage you, so be careful! The highest point of the plank lets you run, jump, and splash into the water below. Global chat extends to most areas of this new spot. There's a new clothing vendor and a cafe vendor, with lots of places for you to sit and sun yourself.  The sunning areas follow the model already in place like in cafe areas, where you can view yourself sitting from different angles, your character automatically faces you in order to take a good screenshot, and there is also the ability to sit on top of someone (accidentally or spitefully) with the "eject" button right below the various angle buttons. I'm sorry it's been awhile since I last posted.  I just came back from vacation and hadn't played for a long time. I'm excited to discuss the newest horse arrival, the Tinkers, available at Ferdinand's Horse Market, which has moved to an area near Silverglade.  Below is an image of the horse market's location, shown on the map. This is the information provided about the breed, along with a nice headshot of the brown pinto Tinker. The Tinker horses are quite pretty.  I'm going to cross my fingers for a blueish-roan-dappled-gray color variant, but for now am quite happy with the palamino-esque version that I purchased.  I almost chose the black pinto, but did not yet own a cream-colored horse and found this one to be oh-so-pretty. I named him GoldLion after the pet name given to Tyrion by Shae on Game of Thrones, "My Golden Lion". I'm very happy with the animations and the design aspects of the breed. I finished the quests
