The Final Ghost and Finishing up the Story Quests

Today has been a really long and productive day in Star Stable. I finally found the final ghost, which is on the Dark Core headquarters barge. Once you've done the initial quest to go out there, you won't be able to return until you are given a quest by Elizabeth Sunbeam, and she won't give you this quest until you reach Popular with the Sun Circle, which I just did today.  She'll tell you it's time to figure out what they're up to and tell you to head to Carney at Silverglade Winery to pick up some diesel for Captain Brus. Here's a screenshot of the final ghost on the barge. You have to wait until you're almost done out there, once you've made your way past all of the guards, and you'll receive a quest dialogue to find a vantage point on the helipad as it appears there are people up there.  Instead of continuing the quest, I went around the side which slopes upward, and maneuvered around until I got to the ghost, which you can see vague

Halloween - and Ghost Hunting - Extended

Someone linked this page on the Star Stable Facebook and I'm going to use it to help me find the remaining 8 ghosts. http://starstable-help-en.jimdo.com/the-quests/halloween-13/ Here's a screenshot of the page with the info it has on it: This isn't a friend or affiliate's page or anything, just someone who had shared this on Facebook. I'll update to let "y'all" know if you get a reward at the end of finding all the ghosts! Happy Ghost Hunting!

A Fresh Look

Once again I've decided to put those Star Coins to work.  Hard work.  Good-looking work. With what?  A haircut!  A PINK haircut, to (as I usually do) glorify my years passed. I've been sleeping basically all day every day, and the six hours time difference due to playing on an EU server means it's late in game right now, so I apologize for the darkness of the screenshot. I was going to save for the new kitty sold at the recently opened pet store in Jarlaheim, but saving is not my strong suit. I also just found out I've made over $1 from ad clicking on my blogs!  Woot!  Keep on clicking those oh-so-relevant pixels! As far as the ghosts go, I don't know if I've found all of them yet and if so if Mrs. Holdsworth offers a quest and reward upon completion.  Ah, according to the newest news  article on the SSO website:  http://www.starstable.com/en/article/457   there are now a total of 29 ghosts, with 8 new ones having been added.  I'll get t

Happy Halloween... and Ghosts!

After realizing that there might be some reward for doing so, I decided to hunt down every ghost that can be found as part of the new Halloween event. So far, I've found 21 and I don't think that's all of them because Mrs. Holdsworth isn't offering a new quest. Here's what I used as a guide. This is a link to a fan's post on the Star Stable Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1425631607665032&set=o.151637884871358 Here's a screenshot of it: This was the most helpful thing I found out there and helped me find all 21 of the described ghosts. I've also found some more tidbits on the Facebook page. One fan posted this:  " 1. Ingun's Point (Mr and Mrs Pike's House on hill) 2. Jarlaheim Wall 3. Under Moorland Bridge 4. Moorland GED Site 5. Fort Pinta Tower (little room) 6. Hallow woods (This one moves a lot and FAST) 7. Under Pi's House 8. Cape West Village (East dock near Mr

Inadvertent Abandonment

I promise that I haven't intentionally been lax on upkeep on the blog - I've been absent from the game, as well!  Even my new pony is already sad.  :( Since the last time I posted, I purchased a new pony and then today I bought a new Andalusian.  I think it's officially time to say I have too many horses!  Luckily I will never let it get to that point in real life - I'll either have the money to afford additional care and horses or I'll stick with one or two and that's it! Here are some photos to highlight the newest additions. This is Starflower.  She's slightly derpy but absolutely adorable, and having her enables me to take place in the new pony games.  The ponies can be found near Fort Pinta, on a barge off the docks. This is Mistwhisper.  (Isn't that an awesome name?)  He's so noble and somehow is already faster than some of my higher level horses! The three new Andalusians can be found at the Silverglade Equ

Mario at the Observatory - Stars Over the Field daily quest - Wednesday

As promised, here is my Wednesday 'Stars Over the Field' work. Mario at the Observatory gives this quest, which awards 90 reputation points with A.A.E. Today, Star Stone 1 was in the ditch near the Midsummer bonfire. Here is the screenshot of the view from the telescope: Here is a screenshot of the view facing the bonfire, with my map open to show you where to find it: This is what it looks like when you are facing towards the ditch.  You can see the hot air balloons and the gondola. Star stone 2 was near the pump and watershed for the winery today. Here is the view from the telescope: This is what it looks like when you ride up to it from the Observatory:  This is how it appears if you turn around and face the Observatory: Star stone 3 was along the West Jorvik Highway today. Here is the view from the telescope: This is the view facing the Observatory: This is an older shot of the same stone facing Silverglade Village: I ho

Yesterday

Yesterday I didn't have the opportunity to play too much, but hopefully today I will and maybe even be able to give some better screenshots of Mario's dailies!  I believe each daily, like with fishing , is determined by the day of the week, so maybe I'll be able to break that down better.

Another Standstill

Well, I'm at another standstill.  (When I say another, I mean it's not my first, but I believe this is the first time I've written about it.) I was working on the quest to evict Mr. Kembell, which involved spying and a lot of other interesting things. I had to "sneak" (a very loose use of the word) past his guard dogs to find where he was hiding something nasty. (I apologize for the photo being so dark, blame the timezone difference, not me!) I completed the quest and the few that came after and found myself, once again, at a point where the only quests available to me, according to the quest log, are dailies. I still have to gain Liked reputation with the Sun Circle, which I'm working on every day, but it seems to take a long time and be more difficult than fun. Oh well, off to do those annoying dailies. ...

New Horse in the Past Tense

So I forgot to make a post when I purchased my newest horse, an Appaloosa.  I'm not quite sure why I didn't post, as I was certainly excited about it, but I suppose it's because I was too interested in actually playing the game and riding hir.  (Hir is a gender-neutral pronoun - I'm still not sure what gender ze is.) The name I settled on was Cinnamonnova.  I had a dream on Friday night, anticipating the additional 100 star coins that is allotted on Saturday morning, and in this dream the horse's name was Cinnamon...[something].  The Appaloosa I chose, if you can't tell by the name, is the roan[ish] blanket/leopard one.  I looked up what the actual names for the colors are and I believe it's "roan blanket with spots".  The horse also has some zebra-like patterns around the front and on the legs. Happy Screenshot Time! Happy Trails!

Mario and A.A.E. - Stars Over the Field Monday

Apparently today was a really good day to invest some time in the dailies that Mario offers at the Observatory.  I believe every daily quest possible was available today, with each one (with the exception of the race) giving 90 reputation points. I'm not sure, but I think the 'Stars Over the Field' quest has different locations based on the day of the week. Here are the locations today: Star Stone 1 was located near the druid stone near the Mill Hill of Will (the windmill). Here's a screenshot of what it looks like midday: And midday through the telescope: Star Stone 2 was in a location I don't think I've covered yet, in the hills to the East of the Observatory. Screenshot of the view from the telescope: Screenshot of the closeup view with the map included: Star Stone 3 was located near the pumps and small building just North of the Oil Field. I believe I've included a screenshot of this location before, but here it is ag

Cinnamon?

As I contemplate purchasing an Appaloosa, the naming dilemma once again rears its ugly head. I've made a list of all of the available name options, but have to figure out a way to list them better, perhaps using Excel or something like it.  It would also be awesome if there was a way to combine them other than manually scrolling through the lists.
