Star Stable Online Etc

Hey StarFam! I don't know about you, but I love all the new Midsummer wreaths. I thought it was really easy to find the first flower, in Moorland, but I had trouble locating the next one I went after, the one near Silverglade Winery, so I thought I'd upload some screenshots of their locations. Because I had no problems finding the Moorland one, I don't have a pic of that. Here's the map showing the locations of the flowers: Silverglade: Mistfall: Valedale: Hillcrest: South Hoof: Pandoria: Sorry, I didn't realize the new screenshot system hides the UI and thus the minimap and exclamation mark until after I'd already collected the one in Silverglade and Mistfall. I know there's an option to show the UI but I didn't know it was a problem until I reviewed the screenshots later. That new screenshot system though, it's awesome! I think the Pandoria flower wreath is the prettiest but I like all the purple ones. What do you ...

Star Stable just released three new horses in an all new model: the English Thoroughbred. Yes, there are already Thoroughbreds in the game, but these are definitely better! There are three colors so far, and each one costs 890 star coins. Chestnut: Gray (fleabitten?): Black: The black one is at Fort Pinta and the chestnut and gray are both available at Crescent Moon Village. I can't decide which one I want! I'm a little bit disappointed in the gray option.  It's cool that they finally have an option that has that fleabitten look, but I don't really like it.  The black and chestnut are both really nice, though.  The chestnut is almost orange in some spots, it's so bright! It will be a few weeks before I have enough star coins saved up to be able to buy any of them, and maybe there will be even more choices when that time comes. Which one do you love the most?

The line of quests started by Derek in Silverglade Village didn't change much this year, but here is a comprehensive post outlining where I found all of my letters this year. Here are screenshots to show you what you will see on your screen as you near and leave an area with a Valentine's Day letter. This is the first letter, near Silverglade Castle.  Just like last year, I had to go around the hills behind the castle to find it. The rest of these are out of order number-wise but should still give you a good idea of where to look. This one was on Moorland Beach, near the path that leads down towards the fisherman. This one was near Nilmer's Highland, in the area with the trees and brush. This was the hardest to find for me.  It was in Valedale and not anywhere near where I thought it would be.  I had to venture down the beach path to find it. Guess what, guys?  Today is the day!  I bought a Fjord! For those keeping track, today marks 2 weeks since I opened up Dino Valley (The Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur).  In that time, I've come to know the Kallters, and, even though I missed a few days of dailies, was able to complete my reputation with them today.  Purchasing a Fjord horse requires the second level of reputation, Popular. Introducing Frostwarrior!  Here are some pictures of his cutie patootie: Every Fjord comes with its own set of tack, and once you've achieved the level of rep required to purchase one, you are able to purchase the set of gear that goes with it. The hairstyle shown here was purchased after buying Frostwarrior.  You can even give them long hairstyles!  I believe he cost 780 Star Coins and his hairstyle cost 19. After heading back to my home stable and taking him with me, I came back to the Valley to finish my quests and restored Frank[enstein] to Frank ...

Yesterday I got to meet Berzelius the Engineer and her pooch Swedenborg and might I say, Star Stable, I am impressed.  You managed to create a smart, attractive character with gray in her hair, a female engineer, someone who is at least partially complex, which is more than I can say for some of the other characters I've run into recently. She looks so fancy astride my sweetie, Snowangel This is her informing us that she's too overqualified for the menial junk Prof. Einstein insists of her I'm a fan of a page on Facebook called Mighty Girls, and it's all about empowering female youth to understand their potential and this character gives me hope.  Granted, this game is already rather female-centric, but many of the characters are lacking any sort of complexity.  Add to that the fact that during the first quest, the text initially led me to believe she was a male character - with a strange name, etc - that finding out she was a cutie was a pleasa...

It took about 3 days of questing, doing all available quests, for the Kallters to show up in their special spot, as shown here. Note the map in the image for a more detailed view of where they are located, which is outside the giant door up the 'Hidden Road'. It will, unfortunately, take a long time to get my rep up enough with them to be able to buy a Fjord horse, but there are many days of dailies required by the other quest givers in the zone (Nic and Prof. Einstein) so hopefully the time won't feel terribly dreadful. If you have any calculations or notations regarding the rep grind, how long it takes, or have any tips for those of us who have not yet done it, please comment below. I'm finally done, woot!  Here's what else I have for you: 1) Go back and check all the blog entries for the day to see if you missed any in the other areas.  I found my final golden egg when I went back to Harvest Counties, where I started, and checked again. 2) Read below. I want to reiterate a few things for newcomers to the blog or to the egg hunt. The egg hunts are 'hosted' by specific NPCs throughout the game.  Only these NPCs grant the quest to find the eggs and you can't find them until you accept the quest.  The eggs, while small, are quite sparkly, and are generally easy to locate (which is why I didn't break down each location of each egg within each egg hunt).   The egg hunt quests DO NOT show up on the map or the minimap - with the exception of the very first three, in Silverglade Village, Landon's, and Fort Pinta - all the rest must be searched for manually by looking for one of the main characters of each designated area.  You will see...

I bought the silver toyger, and here it is! It's so adorable! Also, while I was at the stable, I noticed another girl with one of the new white puppies (I can't remember their name but I'll check next time I'm at the pet store).  These are sold at the Jorvik pet store.  (I double-checked and they are called Bichon Havanese and are pretty cute because their faces are sorta sad.  At 299 Star Coins they're also one of the most expensive pets available.) I'll try to figure out a way to compose a list to help people pick which pet they want, but for now, thanks for reading and happy trails!
