I did end up splurging and purchasing the 'grullo' horse, naming him Thundersoul (a name I'm still not sure about). While doing the new quests for the pet shop girl, Amelia, I decided to venture into the store and see if she really did have new cats for sale. I don't know how long these have been there, but there are new 'toygers' available there! There is one that's orange for 89 star coins and a silver one for 159 star coins. I'm really curious to see what they look like, but can only afford one for the next few weeks. I have exactly 89 star coins right now, so I can afford the orange but would have to wait awhile to be able to buy the silver if I decide I want that one - or I can wait until Saturday and buy the silver one then.
