I'm Back... on Spring Star... For Now

So, Star Stable tech support finally got in touch with me and told me that I shouldn't have tried to transfer to a different region and that was the cause of the problem. She said she was able to put me back where I belong, where I came from, which is Spring Star, a Swedish and Finnish EU server. I responded gratefully, but also added that my only options when transferring through the website were to US servers (probably because I live in the US) and that it had changed me back to my old account at level 4, and that I wanted to switch servers so I could talk to people who I could understand and vice versa. Well... no response yet, but maybe if I wait another month...

So now I'm back to playing again, and I'm leveling up a Haflinger in the app game Horses, while also working on reputation with Spirit. Is it true that, to put it bluntly, he's the most useless horse in the game? I examined his stats and it shows that at level 15 he only has 4 total level attributes, whereas my starter horse has 6 level bonus points in each talent, and he's level 13. Once you are admired by Spirit, you can purchase an apple that makes him like you A LOT, so much so that he voluntarily gives up the wild and free life and comes to live with you. He's different from other horses because he is already level 15 and he refuses to wear any gear. Which means that if the exam stats feature is working, he will be the slowest horse ever, even slower than a moderately leveled pony or Jorvik wild horse. Maybe that's why I haven't seen anyone riding him around. I still want him, but I do wonder how worth it he is. His apple costs 699 star coins. That's quite an investment for a horse I'll probably never ride.

Anyway, I'm working on reputation with him, and I can probably give some beginner tips on finding him and doing his quests.

I'm riding my crappy horse because I'm working on some story quests

This screenshot was taken near Moorland Road, which is his final location on Sundays. I found a reliable schedule for Spirit that shows where he is at each time of day. It helped me each time, otherwise I would have been lost. The link for the schedule is here, at Jorvikipedia.

When you first get close to Spirit, you will get a big message in the middle of your screen, letting you know that you are close to him. You will also see a wind burst of leaves when you are close. I believe those are telling you in which direction you should run to find him, so pay attention to which direction the wind is blowing.

I missed a ton of opportunities today because my timezone is so different from server time, but I managed to get all the way to Liked with Spirit. I did quests for him six times. While it's a bit difficult to stay logged in for over six hours, trying to go everywhere needed, I do like how it gives me times inbetween where I can do other things.

This is where the frog is (see map for coordinates)

The second-to-last quest of the evening, he had me save a frog near Dew's Farm.  I had a lot of problems trying to click the frog to get credit for the quest.

This screenshot shows Mira Spidertree and myself attempting to click the frog. We tried clicking it while mounted first, then dismounted and walked around. It wasn't until we remounted that we say a hand icon when we hovered over the frog. Once you see that hand, you can click it and pick up the frog. Until you see that hand, it shows just the pointer icon, and you cannot interact with it. It was a major pain.

I think I'll start writing up some posts with help for Spirit, and I'll transfer over some of the info from this post.

Let me know how you think I should go about writing up helpful Spirit posts in the comments below!

Thanks for reading and ...
Happy Trails,

Stars Over the Field Daily Quest

This post is intended to help those who are stuck or lost on the 'Stars Over the Field' daily quest offered by Mario at the Observatory.  He tells you there are three stars that fell overnight, and then shows you through the telescope where they fell, but does not mark these locations on your map.  In order to review the locations, you must ride all the way back to the Observatory and check the telescope again. I've taken screenshots of the view through the telescope as well as the close-up view with my map included in the photo, in order to better show the location. Star Stone between boulders: Star Stone near ditch: It may be helpful at this time to mention that it is a little ways away from the bonfire for Midsummer Festival. Star Stone near the Baroness' race track: This one is really easy, so easy that I forgot to include a map picture.  It's right next to the gondola and construction area as soon as you come down from

Who let the donkeys out? (A Star Stable guide to save time!)

Heya StarFam, what’s up? I just finished finding all the mini-donkeys added on Wednesday’s update, thanks in large part to Minatozy’s video (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuW1lZiOE-g ) Because she already made such a great guide, I’d like to offer a different approach. Her video showed the donkeys in the order they’re listed in the journal. I’m going to show you the best route to take to waste the least amount of time. Read first : All listed coordinates are in x, y format. You can view coordinates by opening your in-game map and moving your mouse pointer over different areas of the map. The coordinates are listed above the description in the tooltip above your mouse pointer, in white font. (Some areas will say the name of the area [like The Forgotten Fields] next to the coordinates. Some won’t.) It will also show your current coordinates in the bottom right side of your map. It doesn’t show them on the minimap. If you left-mouse click on an area of the map, it will creat
