Ferdinand's Horse Market - New Horses with Pictures!

This recent update brought us Ferdinand's Horse Market - which fills up the empty arena near Jorvik Stables.  Ferdinand and his wife Eddie have three beautiful horses for sale, all using the Friesian/Andalusian model, without feathered hooves.

Each costs 890 Star Coins and has the same stats: 3 Strength, 2 Discipline, and 2  Agility (+0 to Swiftness and Endurance).

I'm really liking these horse models.  I told myself my next horse would be a palamino Andalusian if they made one, but I think my favorite is the one in the middle, an almost blue roan Friesian Sport Horse.
The Friesian Sport Horse is a new breed and this is what it says about them:

In case you can't read it, it says:
"The Friesian horse have long been cross-bred with other breeds, English and Arabian horses in particular.  Over time a unique breed developed, the Friesian Sport Horse.  These have the long wavy mane and tail of the Friesian, and a calm and easy temperament.  They come in many different colors and are often very athletic with increased endurance."

That last bit is rather humorous considering that they have no additional endurance stat points!

[Edited to add more picutres...]

(As you can see, it's quite a busy spot right now.  The gray Friesian sport horse has a dun-like stripe down his back.  Perhaps there's another word to better describe his color, as he's not a true blue roan.  Perhaps I'll look it up.)

In real life, I've always wanted a Friesian-Arab blue roan horse, and I think this is a pretty close representation of that in the game.  Of course, I *just* missed the star coin sale, but they usually have them once a month so I guess maybe I can wait long enough to purchase them again.  Although I have to say I'm going to be upset if they make an even bluer-looking Friesian Sport Horse soon, after I buy this one!  I read through some of the Facebook comments on the post Star Stable made asking the community what kinds of horses they'd like to see next, and a lot of answers popped up several times: Fjord horse, cobs, Gypsy Vanners, blue roans, and there were a lot of people who answered by posting a photo of a beautiful horse they had found online, most of which had long flowing manes like these Friesians and Andalusians.

The palamino is quite pretty as well, but I seem to have this gray/black horse theme going on that works well with my color choices, including my funky new hair.

As you might have noticed, I have not been playing (or blogging) very much recently.  I'm still in a bit of a rut, with there not being any new end game content, and I also have just been playing a lot of other video games.  You can see how sad 'Stormborn' is by my first photo, as he's usually miserable until I log in and take care of him once, at which point he decides he's just quite unhappy with his station in life.  I'd feel bad if it weren't so gosh darn annoying to log in everyday just to take care of these horses I end up not playing.  I already have several of my horses at "Horse Island" but they'll probably end up sad when I get them back because I couldn't afford the "luxury vacation".

In case you decide to purchase one of these new horses, here's the link to the name options: http://ssoetc.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html
and, just in case you're feeling extra generous and have a bit of coin left over, here's the link to my donation page: http://ssoetc.blogspot.com/p/please-donate.html

(I'm not sure why the url for the horse naming list doesn't make sense while the donate one does... hmm...)

Thanks for reading and Happy Trails!

[Edit: I think the Friesian Sport Horse that I am interested in purchasing is considered grullo, not blue roan.]

Stars Over the Field Daily Quest

This post is intended to help those who are stuck or lost on the 'Stars Over the Field' daily quest offered by Mario at the Observatory.  He tells you there are three stars that fell overnight, and then shows you through the telescope where they fell, but does not mark these locations on your map.  In order to review the locations, you must ride all the way back to the Observatory and check the telescope again. I've taken screenshots of the view through the telescope as well as the close-up view with my map included in the photo, in order to better show the location. Star Stone between boulders: Star Stone near ditch: It may be helpful at this time to mention that it is a little ways away from the bonfire for Midsummer Festival. Star Stone near the Baroness' race track: This one is really easy, so easy that I forgot to include a map picture.  It's right next to the gondola and construction area as soon as you come down from

Who let the donkeys out? (A Star Stable guide to save time!)

Heya StarFam, what’s up? I just finished finding all the mini-donkeys added on Wednesday’s update, thanks in large part to Minatozy’s video (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuW1lZiOE-g ) Because she already made such a great guide, I’d like to offer a different approach. Her video showed the donkeys in the order they’re listed in the journal. I’m going to show you the best route to take to waste the least amount of time. Read first : All listed coordinates are in x, y format. You can view coordinates by opening your in-game map and moving your mouse pointer over different areas of the map. The coordinates are listed above the description in the tooltip above your mouse pointer, in white font. (Some areas will say the name of the area [like The Forgotten Fields] next to the coordinates. Some won’t.) It will also show your current coordinates in the bottom right side of your map. It doesn’t show them on the minimap. If you left-mouse click on an area of the map, it will creat
