Happy Halloween... and Ghosts!

After realizing that there might be some reward for doing so, I decided to hunt down every ghost that can be found as part of the new Halloween event.
So far, I've found 21 and I don't think that's all of them because Mrs. Holdsworth isn't offering a new quest.
Here's what I used as a guide.

This is a link to a fan's post on the Star Stable Facebook page:
Here's a screenshot of it:

This was the most helpful thing I found out there and helped me find all 21 of the described ghosts.

I've also found some more tidbits on the Facebook page.

One fan posted this:
"1. Ingun's Point (Mr and Mrs Pike's House on hill)
2. Jarlaheim Wall
3. Under Moorland Bridge
4. Moorland GED Site
5. Fort Pinta Tower (little room)
6. Hallow woods (This one moves a lot and FAST)
7. Under Pi's House
8. Cape West Village (East dock near Mr Trout)
9. Mrs Holdsworth (first one you get)
10. Golden Forest (Another moving one)
11. Between Landon and hill picnic spot (Again moves far and FAST)
12. Observatory (Near little shed)
13. Silverglade/Castle/Steve Farm (This one is tricky! Stand near hole in wall to side of road going up to castle, it will come near you if you wait)
14. Seahorse Beach - end of dock
15. Mr and Mrs Hill gravesite (Firgrove)
16. Secret Stone Circle (Valedale - go inside)
17. Valedale waterfall - GED construction site
18. Forgotten Field (Past Unfortunate Dew X:64, Y:200 moving you may have to wait or run around to find it.)
19: Greendale - south of windmill and road. Horse pasture to west, forest to east. x:84, y:241"

However, I'm not sure about all of these and most of them are the same that are shown on the map screenshot I posted originally.

This is what a ghost looks like when you finally hunt one down:

First you have to listen for the tinkling sound that alerts you to the nearness of a ghost and then you have to look for it.  There's usually a sparkly spot that solidifies into a ghost who then gives you a quest.  You "mumble mumble mumble" what Mrs. Holdsworth told you to say and the ghost then allows you to turn in a quest and gives you a mask or a helpful item in addition to a sum of shillings ranging from 5 - 500.  I ended up earning quite a bit of shillings from this and received an awesome mask, my favorite, Fripp.

Both of those screenshots were taken in the new Harvest Counties!

Happy Hunting and PLEASE comment if you know of any additional ghost locations that I've missed.
I'm still unable to find the one at the Abandoned Summer House and the one near Landon, though those have both been discussed by several people.  While hanging out near the summer house I heard the telltale ghost tinkling sound but saw nothing.

{Edit: I'm trying to find a way to remove the white background that appeared after copying/pasting the list of locations, surrounding everything I typed afterwards, but haven't figured out how to yet.}

Comments

  1. I was at coordinates X:190, Y:155 when I caught the ghost near Landon. It moves north toward the picnic mountain and is very hard to see if you're moving fast. I hope that helps!

    1. Thank you Caroline! In my newer blog post I address this and I also posted a link to another helpful page that has a map of all the ghost locations. I'm still having trouble getting to one of them, but hopefully I figure it out today. Apparently there is one located on the barge that is part of the Justin - Dark Core quest, and there's a way to get back on it but I haven't figured it out yet.

Stars Over the Field Daily Quest

This post is intended to help those who are stuck or lost on the 'Stars Over the Field' daily quest offered by Mario at the Observatory.  He tells you there are three stars that fell overnight, and then shows you through the telescope where they fell, but does not mark these locations on your map.  In order to review the locations, you must ride all the way back to the Observatory and check the telescope again. I've taken screenshots of the view through the telescope as well as the close-up view with my map included in the photo, in order to better show the location. Star Stone between boulders: Star Stone near ditch: It may be helpful at this time to mention that it is a little ways away from the bonfire for Midsummer Festival. Star Stone near the Baroness' race track: This one is really easy, so easy that I forgot to include a map picture.  It's right next to the gondola and construction area as soon as you come down from

Who let the donkeys out? (A Star Stable guide to save time!)

Heya StarFam, what’s up? I just finished finding all the mini-donkeys added on Wednesday’s update, thanks in large part to Minatozy’s video (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuW1lZiOE-g ) Because she already made such a great guide, I’d like to offer a different approach. Her video showed the donkeys in the order they’re listed in the journal. I’m going to show you the best route to take to waste the least amount of time. Read first : All listed coordinates are in x, y format. You can view coordinates by opening your in-game map and moving your mouse pointer over different areas of the map. The coordinates are listed above the description in the tooltip above your mouse pointer, in white font. (Some areas will say the name of the area [like The Forgotten Fields] next to the coordinates. Some won’t.) It will also show your current coordinates in the bottom right side of your map. It doesn’t show them on the minimap. If you left-mouse click on an area of the map, it will creat
