Wednesday Update and More

As I'm sure many of you already know, today Star Stable is releasing an update that includes some new clothing styles.  The image for the announcement includes two models wearing hairstyles that appear new as well, including one that is both pink and purple, yet nowhere in the announcement does it say anything about new hairstyles, and according to one Facebook comment, these are not available.

I wasn't psyched about any of the clothes, but I took one look at that hairstyle and said "yes!" because it was, in my opinion, quite fitting with my character.  To have my hopes raised like that only to be informed that it was a false alarm is not very fun.

Also, the server is currently down which is also quite sad.  Hopefully Star Stable realizes that it's not fair to advertise those hairstyles when they're not actually available.

I've been planning on changing my hair to red to match my future chestnut horse, but haven't done so yet because I've just been waiting to splurge and spend all my star coins at once, when I have full matching outfits.  My clothes will be mostly green with some brown, and I'm trying to find gear that has decent stats that also matches the color theme.  I haven't yet decided on which leg warmers to purchase, as I like both the Golden Leaves (orange, yellow, and red) and the Jarlaheim ones (blue, green, yellow).

I'm also working on a name for my new horse, using my pre-published list of available options:

So far the only really viable and fitting ones I've come up with are 'Stormborn' and 'Autumnrain' but I also like the prefix 'Jade'.  I saw someone else with the same horse with the name 'Autumnspirit' which I would consider using if not for my existing horse named 'Wolfspirit'.

My existing horse lineup:
Mistwhisper
Onyxflame
Cinnamonnova
Wolfspirit
Starflower
Opalmist

I'd double-check that to make sure, but  I can't because the game is down.  (On a side note, Blogger should enable us to use emotes, like a 'meh' face for this emotion.)

Thanks for reading and Happy Trails - once we can get back into the game, that is.

I'm going to start including this link in my daily posts because I feel it will increase the visibility and I don't feel as though my Blogger layout is doing a good enough job of that, so here goes: http://ssoetc.blogspot.com/p/please-donate.html

And as always, I love to hear from my readers!  Feel free to drop me a line in the comments section!

Stars Over the Field Daily Quest

This post is intended to help those who are stuck or lost on the 'Stars Over the Field' daily quest offered by Mario at the Observatory.  He tells you there are three stars that fell overnight, and then shows you through the telescope where they fell, but does not mark these locations on your map.  In order to review the locations, you must ride all the way back to the Observatory and check the telescope again. I've taken screenshots of the view through the telescope as well as the close-up view with my map included in the photo, in order to better show the location. Star Stone between boulders: Star Stone near ditch: It may be helpful at this time to mention that it is a little ways away from the bonfire for Midsummer Festival. Star Stone near the Baroness' race track: This one is really easy, so easy that I forgot to include a map picture.  It's right next to the gondola and construction area as soon as you come down from

Who let the donkeys out? (A Star Stable guide to save time!)

Heya StarFam, what’s up? I just finished finding all the mini-donkeys added on Wednesday’s update, thanks in large part to Minatozy’s video (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuW1lZiOE-g ) Because she already made such a great guide, I’d like to offer a different approach. Her video showed the donkeys in the order they’re listed in the journal. I’m going to show you the best route to take to waste the least amount of time. Read first : All listed coordinates are in x, y format. You can view coordinates by opening your in-game map and moving your mouse pointer over different areas of the map. The coordinates are listed above the description in the tooltip above your mouse pointer, in white font. (Some areas will say the name of the area [like The Forgotten Fields] next to the coordinates. Some won’t.) It will also show your current coordinates in the bottom right side of your map. It doesn’t show them on the minimap. If you left-mouse click on an area of the map, it will creat
