Halloween Again!

Today's update brought us the holiday event for Halloween, including a new quest chain and the return of the gift-bearing ghosts.

The quest chain begins and ends at the Smuggler's Den near Cape West Fishing Village.

Today is also the day I decided to buy another new horse, the silver Morgan.
I named her Silverpearl.

This is me wearing my quest reward from the new quest while riding Silverpearl.  (I also got my hair restyled so now it's long and black.)

I went to the mall to try to decide what kind of gear to get to best highlight Silverpearl's coloring, as my current gear was tailored for Starbeam, and found many more things to spend star coins on.  Unfortunately it will be many weeks before I'm done with a new gear set for Silverpearl, but I think I've decided on the gray and turquoise pieces.  I'm not sure which new clothes to get myself, but I really like the new Antique Indian Dress I got as a quest reward from the Halloween quest chain.  The new quest has a warning for younger players as they may find it too scary!

This is the back of the aforementioned dress.  It's so pretty!

I was a little disappointed that the only character in the game that appears disabled turned out to be a monster.  I would love to see some characters added that have wheelchairs or leg braces.  All kinds of people love horses, and all kinds of people play Star Stable, and deserve representation, too.  Some people probably don't get to ride horses in real life, due to monetary or physical restrictions, and so playing the game is all they get of horses.  (I'm one of those people.  Hopefully one day I'll be lucky enough to own a real horse, but not yet.)

I haven't found an updated guide for the ghost hunt, and this is from 2013, but it might still help: http://starstable-help-en.jimdo.com/the-quests/halloween-13/

If you have any more tips, I'm sure my readers would love to see them!

Thanks for reading and Happy Trails!

  1. Yay! Another blog update :D Plus I love the name you've given your Morgan, I might even steal it >:D Sadly this is my first Halloween on SSO so no tips except for be warned, when the chime music comes on there's a ghost nearby. I almost died when it popped out of no where xD Also you should do a blog on the shires that came out and what you think about SSO releasing leadropes at Christmas (Also heard there are mustangs coming out the same time) and have you heard about Fort Maria? There's plenty ideas to blog now aha ;) !. I for one am excited about the leadropes and I just got the white shire and name him Aircloud. He so pwetty *-*, but not as much as your Morgan Silverpearl! ♥♥♥♥ x

    1. Thank you! I guess I haven't been keeping up on the rumors, because I had not heard about leadropes being released at all. I haven't done the Shires yet because I haven't been able to buy one, but I really like the gray one. (I'm a sucker for gray horses.) I also hadn't heard about Fort Maria, so thank you for keeping me in the loop ;) I didn't know about Mustangs coming out, either!
I'd love to read your thoughts on those things, too, so maybe you should consider starting a blog as well!

Stars Over the Field Daily Quest

This post is intended to help those who are stuck or lost on the 'Stars Over the Field' daily quest offered by Mario at the Observatory.  He tells you there are three stars that fell overnight, and then shows you through the telescope where they fell, but does not mark these locations on your map.  In order to review the locations, you must ride all the way back to the Observatory and check the telescope again. I've taken screenshots of the view through the telescope as well as the close-up view with my map included in the photo, in order to better show the location. Star Stone between boulders: Star Stone near ditch: It may be helpful at this time to mention that it is a little ways away from the bonfire for Midsummer Festival. Star Stone near the Baroness' race track: This one is really easy, so easy that I forgot to include a map picture.  It's right next to the gondola and construction area as soon as you come down from

Who let the donkeys out? (A Star Stable guide to save time!)

Heya StarFam, what’s up? I just finished finding all the mini-donkeys added on Wednesday’s update, thanks in large part to Minatozy’s video (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuW1lZiOE-g ) Because she already made such a great guide, I’d like to offer a different approach. Her video showed the donkeys in the order they’re listed in the journal. I’m going to show you the best route to take to waste the least amount of time. Read first : All listed coordinates are in x, y format. You can view coordinates by opening your in-game map and moving your mouse pointer over different areas of the map. The coordinates are listed above the description in the tooltip above your mouse pointer, in white font. (Some areas will say the name of the area [like The Forgotten Fields] next to the coordinates. Some won’t.) It will also show your current coordinates in the bottom right side of your map. It doesn’t show them on the minimap. If you left-mouse click on an area of the map, it will creat
